Empowered To Connect, together with Show Hope and The Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, hosts the Empowered To Connect Conference — a two-day conference designed to help adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders and professionals better understand how to connect with “children from hard places” in order to help them heal and become all that God desires for them to be.
The conference is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff, ministry leaders, counselors, therapists, and others.
Connect 4 Faith is hosting this event in Burlington, NC. Our venue host and partner is Hope Church. All are adults are welcome to attend.

Description from website: "Created To Connect: A Christian’s Guide to The Connected Child was created by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Michael & Amy Monroe to help illuminate the biblical principles that serve as the foundation for the philosophy and interventions detailed in Dr. Purvis’ book, The Connected Child. This study guide is designed to help adoptive and foster parents better understand how to build strong and lasting connections with their children, and is ideal for use in small groups as well as by individuals or couples."
Reading The Connected Child prior to participating in the "Empowered to Connect" conference is helpful, though not necessary.
